It is signed by General der Flieger Ludwig Wolff in marker, bearing the stamp of the Luftgaukommando 11, measuring 147 mm (w) x 208 mm (l), the document has been previously folded in half with creasing along the edges of the page, in overall very fine condition.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFootnote: Ludwig Wolff (August 31 1886 - May 17th 1950) was a German General der Flieger in the Luftwaffe during World War II. He first served in the Prussian Army as a company commander, the Reichswehr as a regimental adjutant, and in the Luftwaffe as General der Flieger and Commanding General of Luftgau XI. He was the recipient of the Knights Cross of the House Order of Hohenzollern with Swords, the Knight’s Cross of the War Merit Cross with Swords on September 17th 1943.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e2. A Black Grade Wound Badge. (Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz) Instituted on March 3rd 1918. Constructed of blackened magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a tall hinge, stamped catch, and vertical pinback, unmarked, measuring 36.6 mm (w) x 44.3 mm (l), weighing 7.40 grams, with all of its black finish worn off, in better than fine condition. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAn award document for a Black Grade Wound Badge (Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz) to Gefreiter Ernst Müller of the 2. Werfer Regiment 70, awarded in the field on August 4th 1943 for the injury sustained on July 30th, 1943.
