Simmondsia chinensis, Jojoba
A fast growing evergreen Calfornia Native shrub that can reach a height of up to seven feet tall and wide. Cream yellow flowers bloom in the spring. It is great for bank stabilization and hedges. It is said that this is one of the best native plant for a hedge or screen. This plant requires little pruning, you can coppice in the late fall or spring. You can shear or hedge at any time. Pinch young plants to encourage dense growth.
