Wagner, Richard - Handwritten Envelope and Vintage Cabinet Photo

Envelope handwritten by the great composer, addressed to famous baritone Karl Hill, who was his friend. Hill was the first Alberich in the premiere of the full Ring in 1876, and the first Klingsor in the world premiere of Parsifal in 1882. Envelope in mounted in an acid-free mat, together with a very nice, vintage cabinet photo of Wagner from around 1880. A very nicely presented and affordable Wagner autograph.

Envelope is 6 x 4.25 inches, has some rust marks and is opened on the top, in good condition. Cabinet photo of Wagner by Elliott & Fry, London is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, in very good condition. Total mat size is 16.25 x 11 inches. Ready to be framed if desired!
